The biggest part of Student Showcase at WPU is the student presenters at the various sessions and panels throughout the day. Near all of these presenters use PowerPoint for their presentations, so our client asked us to design a PowerPoint template that the students could fill in with their own content. This would help all the presentations to have a sense of unity and professionalism (for those who weren't as familiar with PowerPoint), not to mention further strengthen the overall brand identity of Showcase. It was one of my jobs to create this template. I have had a lot of experience in the past working with PowerPoint, so this project was not too hard for me. I focused on keeping the overall design consistent with the other deliverables, like the logo and posters, and gave the template the same white and green color-scheme, using colors from the WPU official style guide. Every slide had the logo in the bottom corner, another way to tie it back to the Showcase brand, and there was a variety of layouts for text and images so that the students could choose which layout they believed would be best for their individual presentations. I also left comments throughout the template to direct the students on how to use the template (like a built-in tutorial).
